Product management is a vital part of almost every business. Whether products are for resale, asset development or use of consumables, products must be managed. This dialogue allows you to enter details of your products on to Business Administrator.

Location: Supply Chain Manager, Products

Overview

Product entry is only the beginning of managing products in Business Administrator. To that end, this dialogue seeks basic information about your products. Once entered, you can assign products as resale stock, assets, consumables, or whatever you like.

This dialogue also allows you to assign products to groups, add bar code numbers, pursue a branding culture, develop product serialisation and address a host of other issues.

Product names must be unique on the system. If you have two different products that must have the same name, consider developing a characteristics database. Then you will be able to specify the product differences through the use of characteristics.

You can also add pictures of your products on to the system: you can add as many as you want. If you do, Business Administrator will show you pictures of the product whenever you select the product. And if you are running OutPost, then those pictures will find their way to your website.

And if you are planning to post your products to customers, you can easily record the weight of the products for future reference.

When you’ve entered details of you products, You can order your products, and assign them for their purposes. Look out for Ways Forward, where you can tell the dialogue what you want to do next.
